The West Australian Government is offering substantial funding for qualified electricians interested in pursuing the UEE42622 – Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas Electrical, a specialised electrical training program. Eligible electricians, students, and individuals who meet specific requirements can take advantage of the state funding to complete the course. The government has chosen to fund only the most exceptional training programs to guarantee that the people of Western Australia obtain top-notch education and are equipped to obtain employment and make valuable contributions to the Australian economy. With the assistance of WA funding, certain courses will be available at a significant discount, making it easier for individuals to access these training courses.

Hazardous Areas Electrical qualification offers individuals the necessary skills to choose, install, test, maintain, on hazardous sites with gas and dust atmospheres. It covers the ERAC specifications for an “Electrician’s Licence.”
On course completion, students will receive UEE42622 Cert IV in Hazardous Areas Electrical. Students who have successfully completed all the units of competency in the training package (see https://training.gov.au/Training/Details/UEE42622) and have an unrestricted electrical license issued by a state or territory will be awarded the complete qualification. Further units like UEECD0011 and UEECO0002 are only available from PMV upon request as they are not included in the standard training offering. Additional charges may apply (fee-for-service only) for these units.
This course includes a hybrid training method of 60% theory and 40% practical training with EEHA equipment that you will likely see in a typical hazardous industrial environment – oil, gas and mineral processing industry. It also includes in-class progressive assessment, short answer tests on hazardous area fundamentals, equipment marking, equipment certification, and device interpretation.
Funding may be available for eligible participants (WA only).
Priority Industry Training is available from the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), through PIT Funding we are able to offer a heavily subsidised price on priority qualifications to prepare participants to take up jobs in skilled occupations that are in high demand across Western Australia.

You will undergo one on one practical training with industry experienced, qualified trainers with hands on experience in installation, inspection and remediation work in Hazardous areas. The training will include inspection on the purpose-built hazardous areas skids in the following areas:
PMV advises updating the EEHA Installation and Maintenance competencies every three years as per the AS/NZS 60079.14 requirement for ongoing education. PMV also provides EEHA Refresher training.
